Rising food prices have devastated many farmers in Honduras. The money they earn for their crops hasn’t changed, but the cost of food has skyrocketed, making it impossible to make ends meet. The food system is broken.
The farmers of Seeds of Survival-Honduras tell a different story. They have improved native corn varieties in their seed banks and have been experimenting with agricultural practices. As a result, their last harvests yielded enough reserves to ease the impact the food crisis is having in their villages.
