Travel with Bruce Cockburn as he returns to Nepal after twenty years away.In November 2007, Filmmaker Robert Lang followed the award-winning Canadian singer/songwriter as he travelled to Humla – a region nestled in the Himalayan Mountains. There he found a land where, while much has changed, life is still often lived in much the way it has been for centuries. Farmers still work the steep mountain slopes and live in remote villages connected by an ancient network of footpaths.
The documentary film Return to Nepal – a tribute to ingenuity and interdependence – chronicles Cockburn’s visit to the spectacular Himalayan nation, and provides a revealing glimpse at this little-known corner of the world whose people have much to offer; strategies for survival in a tough land.
