Researchers at the British-based International Institute for Environment and Development have released new warnings that the diminishing diversity of traditional seed varieties and their valuable traits, such as drought and pest resistance, could be lost forever. USC Canada brought the crucial link between seeds, diversity, food, and climate change to the steps of Parliament Hill in Ottawa on September 15th, at the culmination of the Pedal For the Planet campaign – a cross-country relay to call for action on climate change.
