Saturday November 28, 2009 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of USC Canada’s founder, Dr. Lotta Hitschmanova. We are grateful to both the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, and the Honourable Michael Ignatieff, Leader of the Opposition, who have extended their best wishes as we celebrate the life and legacy of this wonderful humanitarian.
And we also offer special thanks to the City of Ottawa for making it official! Mayor Larry O’Brien has proclaimed November 28, 2009 Dr. Lotta Hitschmanova Day in the City of Ottawa.
