| “I was wearing a T-shirt with the words ‘USC Canada: Running for Biodiversity’ printed on it. It helped to hear the boisterous exclamations of ‘Go Biodiversity’ as I strode by the cheering stations. The effect was truly magical. Perhaps there is hope for our planet after all.” David Rain, USC Runner |
We’re ecstatic! All 20 members of our USC running team completed their races last weekend. Congratulations to all! It was quite an achievement, especially when you consider that 10 runners ran their particular races for the first time, and another five were able to run better times this year than in previous years.
Many are already looking forward to next year’s run. And we’ve already started reaching out to new recruits. Maybe you’d like to join us?
| “I’m so glad the donations were up. If only we all would use your example and push ourselves that bit extra to understand the problems of farming the world. Go Biodiversity! Go USC! Thank you for what you’re doing.” Mitzi Hauser, USC Donor |
On the fundraising front, this has been, by far, our most successful USC running fundraiser ever. We more than doubled last year’s total ($4,058), with $8,450 received or pledged so far. Special thanks go to the many businesses that supported this year’s run, led by Doherty and Associates Ltd, McLean Budden Ltd, and Sixty-One Queen Ltd.
For those who haven’t yet made your donation for the Run for Biodiversity, it’s not too late. Donate today!
To all who donated to this year’s Run for Biodiversity, on behalf of our partners – farming families in Africa, Asia, and Latin America – we wish to say a huge thank you!
