Through her TV and radio PSAs (Public Service Announcements), Dr. Lotta Hitschmanova became one of Canada’s most recognized humanitarians and public figures in the 1940s to 1970s.
She reached out to Canadians, urging them to become more aware of people’s living conditions on the other side of the planet, and to take action and help.
