We’re Opening the USC Archives

With more than six decades of experience in the field of international development, we’ve produced a lot of audio and video pieces – all aimed at explaining our work.

The short films and audio files available on our website offer a first-hand look into the lives of some of the people we’ve helped through the years, as well as the people who have touched USC.

  • Public Service Announcements: Have a look at some of the PSAs – both new and old that we’ve producd over the years.
  • Documentaries: Watch the ever-growing collection of some of the documentaries that have been produced by and about USC Canada since 1945.
  • Photo Galleries: Here you’ll find photos showcasing the work of our partners in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Multimedia Resources

In addition to these USC productions, we would like to share these video, audio, and visual resources below to help you convey the message that the right to food, farmers’ rights, and agricultural biodiversity must all be promoted and protected.

Feel free to use any of these materials as you stand up for farmers!

  • The Urgent Case for a Ban on Terminator: On March 3, Canadians gathered to discuss Terminator Seeds and the many dimensions and dangers of this technology. If you couldn’t join us, you can still listen to the speakers now!

  • The Seed Map: An education and policy tool that highlights regions essential to global food security, threats to our food supply, and efforts to preserve biodiversity and farmers’ livelihoods. This 26"x39" colour world map is available in English, French, and Spanish. Go to seedmap.org to order your free map or to download a pdf copy!
  • Posters: USC has a series of three 11”x17” posters to promote discussion about food security. We invite you to download and use them freely in your community. Our hope is that you might share them with your friends and colleagues.
