Shilpi has spent years honing her farming skills - and now works to pass them on to the young women in and around Thakurgaon, Bangladesh.
Before she married and started a family, Shilpi trained in the USC Canada-supported Lifeskills and Education for Adolescents Development program. She, and the thousands of other girls who learned from the program, blazed an example for the women who would come after.
Today, Shilpi is a mentor at a collective vegetable farm, teaching eight young women - aspiring farmers and market gardeners, all - not only in the ways of farming, but in how to make a living from it, too.
You can provide training to one woman for a whole year for a donation of just $10.00. Plus if you donate today - Giving Tuesday - by 11:59 PM, your donation will be matched by a generous private donor. So you double your impact.
